Corin Nemec played the character Jonas Quinn in seasons six and seven of Stargate: SG-1. I met him for the first time at the 2010 Long Beach Comic-Con where he was the only special guest from the series.
No one was around when I got to his autograph area. I introduced myself and let him know that I’m a Stargate fan and would like him to autograph my poster. He was happy to see a fan of his work, and began talking about his time on the series as Jonas.
He said that it was a very fun environment working on the series. Everyone had an amazing energy and a sense of humor on set, and that he is grateful to be part of the Stargate story. He also told me that he had a lot of fun writing an episode of Stargate: SG-1, Fallout.
I asked him about his latest work. He told me that he is currently has a role as Christian Cambell on Supernatural. I let him know that I’ve never seen the show (at the time), but was going to start watching it soon.
I then gave him my poster, which was already autographed by a fairly large amount of actors (since I only began collecting Stargate autographs that year), and he added his autograph to it.
A few other Stargate fans found his table and formed a short line behind me. I then thanked him, shook his hand, and went on to meet some of my favorite artists at the show.
Corin Nemec was also in over 70 film and TV projects, including The Stand, Tales from the Crypt, Beverly Hills 90210, Smallville, CSI: NY, NCIS, and Ghost Whisperer.
