George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy on Writers and Directors for Star Wars Episode 7 and Beyond

George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy sat down and discussed their choices for a director for Star Wars: Episode 7 in Part 2 of their interview released on November 8, 2012 on StarWars.com.

They are already talking with a couple of writers and a “generation of new filmmakers thrilled, excited, and daunted to play in Star Wars Universe.” They are looking for a director with enthusiasm and a sense of telling stories in the world of Star Wars and someone who really appreciates what SW meant to them and is excited to dive in.

George Lucas would back Katheline Kennedy up and be there to help with the script, written from “original stories and ideas that come from a world in essentially George’s head.”
