Morena Baccarin is best known for playing Inara Serra in Joss Whedon’s Firefly and Serenity. She almost instantly became one of my favorite Sci-Fi actresses when I first saw her on film as Adria in Stargate SG-1 and it’s spin-off film Stargate: The Ark of Truth; then as Inara in Firefly.
I saw her live in person in the tail-end of the new “V” panel at San Diego Comic-Con a few years ago, but didn’t get a chance to meet her in person.
Sadly, “V” was cancelled after it’s first season, but she was one of my favorite characters on the show as the creepy alien visitor “Anna” who is not what she seems to be.
She currently starred in Homeland as “Jessica Brody.”
This year, Official Pix had a “Can’t Attend” pre-order offer for the February 9-10 Dallas Sci-Fi Expo where Morena was one of the guests.
I put in an order just for her (but was tempted to order autographs from others including Christopher Lloyd and Sam Witwer) and received it in the mail today.
Below is a video of Morena’s panel from the Dallas Comic-Con Sci-Fi Expo, posted by “yodasama”, talking about her past and current work:
